Industry Summit

The Industry Summit is our annual event for senior industry and Australian Government representatives to collaboratively discuss strategic immigration and border protection issues. Effective partnership with industry is critical to us achieving our mission and vision.

In its third year, the Industry Summit convened in Sydney for a one day event on Monday 31 October 2016. This year the event delved  into the critical partnerships between government and business, as we facilitate trade, travel and migration at the border.

Previous Industry Summits

The 2015 Industry Summit built on the foundation established at the inaugural 2014 Industry Summit, hosted by the former Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (ACBPS). The integration of ACBPS and the Department of Immigration and Border Protection to form the new Department represented a profound change to how the Australian Government protects Australia's border, and presents new opportunities for collaboration with industry.
