You might be able to. Australian children aged 10 to 15 years (inclusive) can use arrivals SmartGate if:
- they hold an ePassport
- they are accompanied by at least two adults
- the ‘first and last’ process order is used.
The ‘first and last’ process order aims to avoid children and teenagers potentially becoming separated from their adult companions. This process requires one adult to present and clear through arrivals SmartGate, followed by the 10-15 year old child (or children, if multiple) and then the second adult.
Alternatively, if you want to be processed as a family group by a Border Force officer, you will need to join the manual processing queue.
