This office provides immigration and visa services to clients in Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Slovak Republic and Slovenia.

Permanent visa applications from clients currently residing in Kosovo can also be lodged at the Australian Embassy in Belgrade.​​

Credit card is the preferred payment option.

Credit Card​

Payments using credit card will be processed in Australian dollars (AUD). We accept MasterCard, Visa, AMEX, Diners and JCB. When paying by a credit card you may incur a credit card surcharge, banking and currency conversion fees and you will need to accept the risk associated with any currency fluctuations.​​​​​

Prior to lodging your application, you may need to notify your bank of an upcoming foreign credit card transaction. Failure to do so may result in your transaction being declined. Without payment your application is invalid.

Credit card transactions processed in Australian dollars (AUD) are processed in Australia.​​​​​ A credit card surcharge may apply to transactions made using your credit card.

For credit card payments use the Payment Details Form - 1440​.​​​​​

Cash

You can pay by cash in Euros (EUR) only at the embassy counter. We cannot accept payments in cash in Australian dollars (AUD).​

​Making payment in Australia

Fees may be paid​ at any of our offi​ces in Australia. Once the fee has been paid, you will need to provide a copy of the receipt with your application.​​​

​Citizenship​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Applications for Citizenship by Descent are processed by the Australian High Commission in London.​​

​Applications for Australian citizenship general eligibility and other situations, and applications to resume or renounce (give up) Australian citizenship should be lodged at the Canberra Visa and Citizenship office in Australian Capital Territory​.

Relevant document: ‘Police Certificate’ (Vypis z Registra Trestov). The application form is also available at Register Trestov GP SR, or at your local prosecutor’s office.
Residents: Apply in person or through an authorised representative to the Public Prosecutor’s office (Register Trestov GP SR). See website for location of public prosecution offices and for instructions.
Residents provide: Application form, Slovak ID or birth certificate. If you are a foreign national, you must also present your original passport and a certified translation of your birth certificate.
Non-residents: Apply to the nearest Slovak diplomatic mission in person, or by post to the address above.
Non-residents provide: Application form, original passport and a certified translation of your birth certificate.
Fee: Payable.
Processing time: One to three days if your application is lodged in the Slovak Republic.
