The Australian Government has started a national conversation about how we might all develop a greater appreciation of Australian citizenship and its privileges and obligations. This is part of the effort for ensuring a strong, safe and cohesive future for Australian society.

Citizenship Test Review

An independent review of the Australian citizenship test was undertaken in 2008. The Citizenship Test Review Committee made 34 recommendations to improve the test. The government fully supported 23 of the recommendations and gave in-principle support to a further four.
