You might be eligible for Australian citizenship if one of your parents used to be an Australian citizen and you were born outside Australia

Eligibility - one of your parents must have been an Australian citizen before you were born and that parent must have lost their Australian citizenship before 4 April 2002 by acquiring the citizenship of another country as an adult.

Documents - get your identity documents, good character documents and supporting documents.

Apply - pay the application fee and apply online for Australian citizenship, or download and print the form to apply on a paper application.


The fee for this application is AUD 180 unless you are eligible for a concession.
