The Australian High Commission in Nuku'alofa has no visa function. Our office in Suva, Fiji, manages visa and citizenship services for clients in Tonga.  It has a Service Delivery Partner agreement with TT Services to provide Australian visa lodgement and biometric collection services in Tonga through an Australian Visa Application Centre.

Application to include: Proof of identity or residence status in Tonga (such as a certified copy of your birth certificate and/or passport). Marriage certificate must be provided if your maiden name is different from your married name.

Non-residents: Apply by post to the Officer-In-Charge of Criminal Record to request a certificate.

Preferred payment method is cash. Accept international bank cheque or western union money order (advisable to call Criminal Records unit if paying by this method).

Note: You must ensure your police certificate includes full-disclosure of any spent convictions which lists all previous convictions regardless of any convictions deemed spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 2013. The Department is authorised under law to require this information for the purposes of assessing your visa application.
