Making changes to your EOI
Make changes to your EOI via SkillSelect if:
- you want to change to a different skilled visa
- your circumstances have changed, for example, you have changed your occupation or your family composition
- your points have increased, for example, you have gained new work experience, a higher qualification, or passed a higher-level English language test
- your points have decreased, for example, if you are claiming partner skills and your partner has reached 50 years of age or you no longer undertake 20 hours of paid work per week in your nominated occupation.
If you do not tell us your points have decreased and you are invited to apply for the visa, you might not be able to meet the points score on your invitation letter.
When you make changes, SkillSelect will provide you with an updated estimate of your points score.
You cannot make changes to your EOI after you have received an invitation.
Your current visa is about to expire
If you submit an EOI in Australia and your current visa is about to expire, you must apply for another visa to stay in Australia
You are not eligible for a bridging visa because the EOI is not a visa application. You are only eligible for a bridging visa after you are invited and apply for this visa.
