What is the Community Status Resolution Service?

The Community Status Resolution Service (CSRS) is part of our department. It works with people in Australia who have:

  • been granted a Bridging visa E while they resolve an immigration matter
  • overstayed their visa.

Community Status Resolution Service staff provide clear and personally relevant information about a person’s situation and their visa or departure options, so people can make informed decisions sooner.

You can call the Community Status Resolution Service for information about expired visas and resolving your status. You can do this anonymously and ask general information, or you can speak to the operator in more detail about your circumstances.
