APEC Business Travel Card applications to go online effective 1 July 2017

Announcement regarding the rollout of online lodgement for Australian citizen APEC Business Travel Card applicants.

From 1 July 2017 Australian citizen business people will be able to apply online for the APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC).

Through a single online application for only $200, the ABTC offers bona fide businesspeople a five-year, short stay, multiple-entry authority to the 18 other participating member economies and priority lane access at major airports in all APEC economies.

The ABTC provides significant efficiencies for cardholders and it has been found to greatly reduce the cost of business travel between APEC economies. The card has reduced visa application fees, as well as the time and costs associated with application and immigration processing.

For further information on how to apply for an ABTC, visit Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Travel Card (ABTC) for Australian citizens.
